Bougainvillae, as the property is called, is an exquisite house designed by Ranjith himself, and furnished with wonderful old-world carved wooden furniture. But before we venture further within, stay with me in the front courtyard for a while and drink in the mellifluous serenade of countless bird songsters. Their music literally took my breath away! Rarely had I experienced such a symphony, and it will remain one of my most cherished memories of Wayanad.
